Hong Kong warns against three Brie batches over possible Listeria
Hong Kong’s CFS advised consumers not to eat three batches of Paturages Comtois Brie; importers have stopped sales, removed stock and initiated recalls.
The Centre for Food Safety said it was notified through the EU Rapid Alert System for Food and Feed that three French Paturages Comtois Brie batches might be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes.
The affected products are: Brie 3kg 50%, lot 00000BPBY1, use by October 1, 2026; Brie 60% 1kg Grand Export, lot 00000BXCG1, use by October 10, 2026; and Pointe De Brie 180g, lot 000000BXCG, use by August 30, 2026.
The importers have stopped sales, removed affected stock and initiated recalls. The CFS investigation remains in progress, and consumers holding an affected batch should not eat it and should contact the relevant importer about recall arrangements.
